Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • Slowly pour in the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

Shaping & Rising

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Divide the risen dough into 16-20 equal pieces and roll them into small balls.
  • Place the Camembert (in its wooden box) in the center and arrange the dough balls around it.
  • Cover the wreath with a cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.

Baking

  • Score the top of the Camembert and press in garlic slices and rosemary.
  • Brush dough balls with olive oil and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and the Camembert is bubbling.

Serving

  • Serve the focaccia wreath on a wooden board and enjoy sharing it with family and friends.
