Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out your pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill it while preparing the filling.

Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the ricotta cheese and granulated sugar together until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, optional almond extract, citrus zests, and flour until smooth.

Baking

  • Pour the ricotta filling into the chilled pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake the pie for 50–60 minutes, or until set and lightly golden on top.
  • Let the pie cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, dust the pie with powdered sugar.
