  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp chili crisp or chili oil Delivers a kick of heat.
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice Cuts through the richness.
  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp smoked paprika Enhances depth of flavor.
  • pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional) For extra heat.
  • to taste Fresh thyme or oregano (optional) Aromatic herbs for garnish.
  • as needed Crusty bread or flatbread to serve For scooping up the feta.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the feta dry with a paper towel to remove excess brine.
  • In a cast iron or oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium until shimmering.
  • Add the feta block to the skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.

Glaze Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix honey, chili crisp, vinegar, paprika, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the glaze over and around the feta in the skillet.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the glaze thickens and bubbles.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs, with crusty bread or flatbread on the side.

Notes

Ensure feta is well-drained for the best results. Customize the spice level to cater to different tastes.
