Ingredients

Ingredients for Refreshing Peach Lemonade

  • 3 large ripe peaches Soft, sweet, and juicy, these peaches will be the star of your drink.
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice About 4–6 lemons, this bright juice adds the perfect zing.
  • 1/2 cup honey or sugar Use either, depending on your preference; adjust to taste.
  • 4 cups cold water To mix, dilute, and refresh.
  • 1 cup ice cubes Icy and cool, essential for that refreshing sip.
  • Lemon and peach slices For garnish and added flair.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of water. Simmer over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes until the peaches are soft and syrupy.
  • Allow the peach mixture to cool slightly before blending it until smooth. For a refined finish, strain it through a fine mesh sieve to create a smooth, velvety peach puree.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, and honey (or sugar). Stir well until all the sweetener has dissolved completely.
  • Pour in 4 cups of cold water and mix in plenty of ice. Take a taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary.
  • Pour your refreshing concoction into glasses, garnishing with slices of fresh peach and lemon for that extra pop of color.

Notes

To keep your lemonade extra cold without diluting it, consider freezing some peach slices to use as ice cubes. Add a sprig of mint or basil for an aromatic twist. For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne to the peach syrup while simmering.
