Instructions

Prepare the Pastry Ring

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut the pastry into wide strips and arrange them into a circular ring shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Press the ends together to create a seal, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with smoked paprika, and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Make the Avocado Spread

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe avocados.
  • Add lime juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and mix until smooth and creamy.

Cook the Shrimp

  • In a pan over medium-high heat, warm olive oil.
  • Add shrimp along with smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and salt, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from heat and let rest.

Assemble the Puff Pastry Shrimp Crown

  • Spread the avocado mixture over the pastry ring.
