Ingredients

Herb Butter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Softened to creamy perfection

Steaks

  • 2 pieces T-bone steaks (about 1 1/2 inches thick) A luscious cut of meat
  • 2 tbsp olive oil To ensure the steaks don’t stick

Instructions

Make the Herb Butter

  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, chopped parsley, rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Transfer the mixture onto plastic wrap and form it into a log shape. Wrap tightly and place in the refrigerator to chill until firm.

Prep the Steaks

  • Season each T-bone steak generously with salt and black pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks, rubbing it into the meat.
  • Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Cook the Steaks

  • Preheat your grill or skillet to high heat.
  • Place the prepared T-bone steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Use a meat thermometer; aim for an internal temperature of 135°F.

Add the Herb Butter

  • Remove the steaks from heat and place them on a cutting board.
  • Top each steak with a slice of the chilled herb butter and let it melt.
  • Allow steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serve

  • Slice the steaks and serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

For perfect steak, allow it to come to room temperature before cooking and let it rest after cooking for juicier results. Enhance herb butter with spices or cheese for extra flavor.
