Instructions

Preparation of the Crust

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie dish, creating an even layer.
  • Chill the crust in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.

Making the Jello Mixture

  • Stir the orange Jello powder into 2/3 cup of boiling water in a separate bowl. Mix until fully dissolved.
  • Add the cold water and stir to combine. Let this mixture cool for 10–15 minutes.

Preparing the Creamy Filling

  • Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy in another mixing bowl.
  • Gradually pour in the cooled Jello mixture, mixing until well blended.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping and orange zest, if using.

Combining and Chilling

  • Carefully pour the creamy filling into the chilled graham cracker crust.
  • Smooth out the top with a spatula for an even finish.
  • Cover the pie with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.

Serving and Garnishing

  • Top the pie with whipped cream swirls and fresh orange slices or wedges before serving.
  • Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Chill cream cheese for easy mixing. Use fresh oranges for added flavor. You can customize the toppings to your liking.
