Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Once the sausage is cooked, toss in the diced onion, sliced bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes with their juices, season with salt and black pepper, and allow to simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture into a casserole dish and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
