Ingredients

For the chicken wings

  • 6 pieces chicken wings, patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional, for extra zest)

For the vegetables

  • 1 cup fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for vegetables)

For serving

  • 1 cup cooked white rice

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken Wings

  • In a large bowl, mix the chicken wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and fresh lemon juice. Marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Prepare the Vegetables

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the broccoli and carrots with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.

Cook the Chicken Wings and Vegetables

  • Place the marinated chicken wings on a separate baking sheet. Cook both the wings and the vegetables in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Cook the Rice

  • Prepare the white rice according to package instructions.

Serve & Enjoy

  • Plate the chicken wings alongside the roasted broccoli and carrots and serve with warm, fluffy rice.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate chicken wings overnight or add cayenne pepper for extra spice. Consider grilling the wings for a smoky flavor.
