For the Sandwich

Instructions

Preparation

  • Spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese evenly.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder and dried dill evenly over the cream cheese.
  • Layer 2 slices of cheddar and 2 slices of mozzarella on each cream cheese-covered slice, and top with 1/4 cup of sliced dill pickles.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Once hot, place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese melts.

Serving

  • Allow the sandwiches to cool for about 1 minute before slicing in half.
  • Enjoy while they’re hot!

Notes

Experiment with different cheese varieties and consider adding sliced turkey or chicken for added protein. Use a panini press for easier grilling.
