Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped the star ingredient, vibrant and nutrient-rich.
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely minced adds a sweet and aromatic flavor.
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled adds depth and creaminess.
  • 4 large eggs, whisked until smooth the binding agent that holds everything together.
  • 1/2 cup milk for a rich and velvety texture.
  • 1 pinch salt to elevate the flavors and enhance the taste.
  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper a hint of spice that complements the dish beautifully.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a pie dish to prevent sticking.
  • In a pan over medium heat, combine the chopped spinach and minced onion. Sauté them until softened and fragrant.
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with creamy milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  • Fold the sautéed spinach and onions into the egg mixture, then gently add the crumbled feta cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is firm and lightly golden on top.
  • Allow it to cool slightly before slicing, then serve warm.

Notes

To elevate your quiche, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or a pinch of nutmeg. Ensure spinach is well-drained to prevent sogginess. Substitute feta with goat cheese or cheddar for variations.
