Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Slice the halloumi into thick fries, about half an inch thick.
  • Pat each piece dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Breading

  • Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and another with a mixture of pistachios and panko crumbs.
  • Coat each halloumi stick in flour, dip it into the egg, then press it into the pistachio-panko mix.

Chilling

  • Place the breaded halloumi sticks on a baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Add the halloumi sticks and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Preparation of Drizzle

  • In a small pan, combine honey, lime juice, chili flakes, and zest over low heat.
  • Stir until it begins to bubble gently; remove from heat.
