Preparation

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips with the butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  • Add the vanilla extract and crispy rice cereal to the melted chocolate. Gently fold the cereal into the chocolate until evenly coated.
  • Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Tap the pan on the counter to remove any air pockets.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the bars to firm up.
  • After chilling, remove the mixture from the pan by holding onto the parchment paper edges. Cut into bars or squares.
