Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Tender and juicy, these chicken breasts form the hearty base of your dish.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds a luxurious texture to the sauce.
  • 2 pieces lemons (zested and juiced) Provides a vibrant burst of flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme Aromatic herb that infuses the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Brings depth to the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps to sear the chicken.
  • salt and pepper to taste Essential seasonings to enhance and balance the dish.

Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  • Pour in the heavy cream along with the lemon juice and zest, stirring well. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Add the thyme and season with additional salt and pepper. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is coated in the sauce.
  • Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce is to your liking.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with extra thyme.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, ensure adequate searing time for the chicken. Use fresh thyme for better flavor. Consider adding red pepper flakes or chicken broth for depth.
