Ingredients

Spice Mix

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into long strips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 12 ounces spaghetti or linguini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, white pepper, and salt.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and season with half of the spice mix. Cook for approximately 3 minutes until the chicken is browned.
  • Flip the chicken and sprinkle the remaining spice mix on top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Add the remaining butter and pour in the heavy cream. Stir continuously, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 7-8 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Serve the creamy chicken and sauce over the pasta, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate red pepper flakes, sauté fresh minced garlic, or add a squeeze of lemon juice to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
