Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box (6 oz) cherry Jello Adds a sweet and fruity foundation.
  • 1 cup boiling water Necessary for dissolving the Jello completely.
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole cranberry sauce Provides a burst of tartness.
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained Adds a juicy, tropical flair.
  • 1 cup chopped apples Adds crunch and can be sweet or tart.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Adds delightful crunch and richness.
  • 1/2 cup cold water Helps cool the mixture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, add the cherry Jello to the cup of boiling water. Stir thoroughly until the Jello is completely dissolved, which should take around 2 minutes.
  • Mix in the cold water, and allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  • Gently fold in the cranberry sauce, drained crushed pineapple, chopped apples, and your choice of nuts. Stir well to distribute the ingredients evenly.
  • Transfer the mixture into a glass serving dish or mold. Cover it and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until it sets completely.
  • Once set, scoop out portions and serve chilled. Optionally top with whipped cream or an additional sprinkle of pecans.

Notes

To elevate your salad, consider using different flavors of Jello, sprinkling extra nuts on top, or adding grapes for more sweetness. Use a beautiful glass serving bowl to present the dish attractively.
