Ingredients

For the stuffing

  • 1/2 cup lump crab meat providing a sweet and succulent flavor
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, chopped adding an extra layer of flavor and protein
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened for a rich and creamy stuffing base
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise for moisture and creaminess in the stuffing
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard to bring a tangy depth to the filling
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice for a refreshing zing
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning for Chesapeake flair
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for added aroma and flavor
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley to add brightness
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions enhancing the taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste to elevate all the flavors

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 oz each) the star of the dish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil providing a silky finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, Old Bay, garlic powder, parsley, green onions, lemon juice, and salt and pepper. Combine until well mixed.
  • Slice a pocket into the side of each salmon fillet without cutting through.
  • Stuff the salmon with the seafood mixture. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the stuffed salmon and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, until salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for the best flavor. Consider topping with Parmesan or Gruyere before baking for a cheesy crust.
