Ingredients

For the tacos

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Tender and juicy shrimp provide the protein-packed star of the dish.
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas Soft, warm tortillas serve as the perfect foundation for your tacos.
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage Fresh, crunchy cabbage provides a wonderful texture.
  • 1 avocado sliced Creamy avocado slices add richness.
  • 1 lime cut into wedges Adds acidity and zing.
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro Aromatic cilantro elevates the taco experience.

For the sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Creamy base for the flavor-packed sauce.
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce Adds sweetness and mild heat.
  • 1 tsp sriracha Brings a delightful kick.

Instructions

Make the sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Stir until the mixture is well-blended and creamy.

Coat the shrimp

  • In a mixing bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with half of the prepared sauce until evenly coated. Allow to marinate for a few minutes.

Cook the shrimp

  • Heat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.

Warm the tortillas

  • While the shrimp is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry pan or microwave until soft.

Assemble tacos

  • Place a generous handful of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by pieces of shrimp and fresh avocado slices.

Add sauce and serve

  • Drizzle remaining sauce over the tacos and garnish with cilantro and fresh lime juice. Serve immediately.

Notes

Consider using a mix of red and green cabbage for extra crunch. For spice, increase sriracha or add crushed red pepper flakes. Marinating shrimp for 30 minutes can deepen flavors.
