Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the pure vanilla extract and almond extract, stirring gently until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour, almond flour, and salt to the wet mixture, mixing gently until a soft dough forms, being careful not to overwork it.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 to 40 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Take small portions of chilled dough and roll them into short ropes, curving each rope into the shape of a crescent, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool slightly, then dust them with powdered sugar while still warm.

Notes

To achieve the best results, don't skip the chilling step and try adding a hint of orange zest for a unique touch.
