Ingredients

For the Chicken Skewers

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.5 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 pounds chicken tenders (breasts or thighs)
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 stick butter
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Cut the chicken into 3-inch pieces.

Toss the Chicken

  • In a mixing bowl, toss chicken pieces in olive oil, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, pepper, dill, salt, paprika, and onion powder until fully coated.

Thread the Chicken

  • Thread the seasoned chicken pieces tightly onto the soaked skewers.

Make the Sauce

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the stick of butter and mix in minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese, parsley, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, ranch seasoning, dill, and onion powder, stirring until smooth.

Cook the Skewers

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place skewers in batches in the air fryer; cook for 5 minutes, flip, brush with sauce, then cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Flip again, baste with sauce, and cook for another 5-6 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Final Touches

  • Brush skewers with leftover sauce and top with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken before cooking for richer flavor. Experiment with herbs like thyme or basil, or add lemon juice for tartness. You can also wrap chicken in bell pepper or onion for added vegetables.
